Recently voted one of the "top places to visit" by the Leicestershire Tourist Board, this unique restaurant is famous for its vast range of Belgian beers and attracts a discerning clientele, including local celebrities and sporting stars.
The History of the Building
| 1903: | Built in the neo-classical style as the Leicester Branch of the Birmingham and Provincial Bank. |
| 1917: | Bank absorbed by the Barclay's Bank group |
| 1928: | Property sold to Commercial Union Insurance (Commercial Union is carved into the sandstone on the outside facade). |
| 1947: | Property sold to Pearl Insurance |
| 1970: | Freehold retained by Pearl, however leased out to the proprietors of, Rudolph's Italian Restaurant for 4 years, and then a succession of other restaurants. |
| 1986: | Lease acquired by the operators of Hollywood's Night Club |

| 1993: | In July the current proprietors offered £125,000 for the freehold, informed Pearl Estates that the property was being sold at auction in London. In October purchased for £81,250 at the Langham, Hilton Hotel, London |
| 1995: | January - Redevelopment commenced in October Bruxelles opened following some 10 months works and £275,000 redevelopment costs. |
